Well after waiting a year for the lockout to end, and having a great season, the Calgary Flames are out of the playoffs.  They got knocked out in Game 7 on Wednesday night by the damn Anaheim Ducks.  Just for the record, any team named after a Disney movie really shouldn’t exist in pro sports.  I think it actually messes with reality somewhat.  But I digress.  The final game was VERY lacluster and I didn’t feel like the Ducks did anything special.  Except out play the Flames.  The Flames just seemed like they were done for the season.  Their passing was off, they weren’t getting to the puck and they couldn’t carry it into the Ducks zone to set anything up.  Unfortunate because I thought the Flames had a great chance again at a run for the cup.  They had the talent and the grit, but apparently not quite enough heart.  But like I said, still a great season.  I got a chance to watch a game last month when I was up there, and I only missed a handful of games on TV.  Hopefully they’ll be able to re-group and come back next season refreshed and ready for a REAL run at it.

In other news… seems as though several link on my site were severed during the recent change of servers.  Mostly the Photo section.  Everything should be back up and working.  Oh and I’ve been getting spammed like crazy in my comments lately.  I try to get them as soon as I see it but I’m not exactly checking on a daily basis.  I’m hoping to have a little more content in the near future.  Just not a lot going on worth putting on the Internet. 

Shout out to the guys in Calgary though, sorry we didn’t get a chance to hook up.  Maybe I can sneak away for another quick trip this summer.
