World Cup Hockey
Well the hockey labor strike is looming closely. The Collective Barganing Agreement (CBA) is set to expire tomorrow and the NHLPA will have a lockout. Meaning there will be a shortened season, if there is one at all. So Canadian hockey hopes have moved to the current World Cup of Hockey. The final game is tonight and it’s Team Canada vs. Team Finland. So I’m set, I’ve got the DVR (Dish Network’s equivelant of TIVO) set to record the game starting at 4pm PST. The semi-final game between Canada and the Czech Republic was an overtime nail biter. Hoping this one is just as good. With the Calgary Flames’ goalie Miikka Kipprusoff in net it should be tough scoring for Canada. After this though, I’m gonna be hurting for some pro hockey. It’ll be interesting to see how ESPN fills the time usually reserved for the games.
