Decided my new style wasn’t cutting the mustard so I had to update it. This style is “borrowed” from another template that is being freely distributed from Sony’s Spiderman Site. They are posting blog styles you can use. Of course I replaced a couple of their graphics and links. So please don’t comment saying I stole this, cause I know I did. I’m not taking credit for making it, just modifying it.
Also, there may be a couple quirks, I’m still ironing things out. On the plus side it’s 70F here and I rode my bike to work. Gotta love spring.

Well, we are back. We thought we’d be gone for a week, instead, a little over a day. Pretty good I’d say. I know everyone was SO concerned

On the plus side I FINALLY got my bike running Monday evening. Like a dumbass I didn’t start my bike all winter so the battery died past the point of recharging. I bought a new one from the dealer (approx. $90), took it home and found out I had to fill it with the electrolyte acid and then charge it. In the process of doing that it got dropped and cracked the case by one of the posts. Much to my dismay, there is no substance in existance that will repair this. That or they just don’t want to make it for fear of losing extra money that clumsy people like me bring in. SO… after finding a battery shop near my house, and another $80 later I had a new battery. The guys at this place offered to fill it for me though. I took them up on the offer. Got the battery home and charged it for a couple of hours, then went riding. Man, what an expensive lesson to learn.

Got notified yesterday that the server hosting me is going to be upgraded. The problem is that it’s going to take about a week, during which time the server will be down. Not too big a deal for this site, but that means my email is down during that time too. Damn. Oh well, considering the person hosting me is my brother-in-law and he charges me a whole buncha nothing for it, can’t complain. So this site will be down from about the 23rd to the 30th for the upgrade. Hopefully things will be smooth after that.

You know, it’s not bad enough that you get this crap in your emails, but they also go around spamming blog comment sections too. Luckily the guys that host this site have a blog spamming tool. Unfortunately, while it catches most things, some stuff still gets through. Logged in this morning to 9 new comments posted to various articles on this site. The good thing about the tool is that you can automatically delete the comments while at the same time not only adding the email address they used, but you can log any and all website addresses they refer to in their comment. So when you add that to the block list it should prevent that person from spamming the site again. Until they figure some other way to spread their crap to people who don’t want it. I really can’t see that many people clicking on the links to make it worth sending out. But I guess if they even get a 1% return on it, it’s worth it. So to those of you clicking on spam links, knock it off damn it.

So I got a link a while back to a site that let you play Smack the Penguin. Basically you are a Yeti and you have a bat, you are trying to hit a falling penguin as far as you can. Now someone has modified that, and given you gory, bloody, killer Smack the Penguin. Be careful, it’s addicting.
