What’s with Thanksgiving in October?

Okay, you ever think maybe things just aren’t going your way? I’m starting to feel like that. With all the car problems and such that have been plaguing me lately you’d think I’d lay low for a while right? Nah, not me. I go to the dentist!! So Monday I go and get one wisdom tooth pulled (was supposed to get two, but complications came up which was a good thing). Thursday I go back for what I thought would be a filling, another wisdom tooth out, and a crown fitting. Now my dentist is taking over the practice of my old dentist so I think they are still “transitioning”. I get in the chair and a gal I’ve never seen there before comes in. She tells me it’s her first day here at the office, I immediately got nervous. So she gets the topical swab ready, and puts it in the left upper side. Well as I remembered the filling and wisdom tooth were on the bottom left. So she had left and when she comes back in, just before she hits me with the needle I ask if she’s working on the right area. She tells me she is and then sticks me. Okay, so I get all numbed up and the regular dental assistant comes in to check on me. I inform her that the left upper side is well on it’s way. She stops cold and says “the left upper side?”. *sigh*
So, I asked her which side the filling was on. She tells me we aren’t doing a filling. So after another 5 minute conversation I find out that they only had me scheduled for the crown fitting. Okay fine, I can deal with that. Except that well… the crown is on the RIGHT SIDE!! So the doc comes in and has to numb me up on the right side. So lucky me, I get a two for one. Not to mention the crown fitting SUCKED. And to think I have to pay for this abuse. And the gal that got the needle thing wrong didn’t even bother to come in and apologize.
BTW, finally got my car back… after 5 weeks!! So if you live in or around the Spokane, WA area, do not, I repeat DO NOT buy a vehicle from Appleway Volkswagen. They will screw you over and milk you for as much money as possible. Oh, anyone wanna buy a ‘98 VW Passat?
